B. Thankful

Hello My Luvs,
I hope your feeling as FABULOUS as I do today and every day! Let me ask you something? What are you thankful for?  I am super thankful for: having a wonderful family, buy one get one sales, Sierra Mist, Fruit by the Foot, baby oil, the Real Housewives of Atlanta and of course YOU! I'm extremely super thankful to be able to share my LUV for fashion with YOU! In todays episode: Haute HeadBands.

HAUTE HEADBANDS

I remember a time when a headband was worn to hold down a wig. Even today, I see some women holding down a wig with a  raggedy headband. I got one word for it, RATCHET!  Here is the alternative,a nice jeweled or studded headband. Even if you don't wear a wig, a headband accents any hairstyle. Especially a short Peter Pan  hairstyle!  A thick studded or jeweled headband also brings attention to your face. It makes your overall head-to-toe look more sophisticated even playful.I recommend only wearing this style of head band during the day or for an evening outing , like dinner or a movie date. NOT FOR THE CLUB!  Also, try not to wear a heavy earring  or necklace when wearing a jeweled head band. In fact, I would pick only one, either a pair of earrings/studs or a necklace. NOT BOTH! Coordinate your accessories with the studs or stones on the headband. If there are too many colors to choose from, then go neutral (gold or silver).  FYI. IF YOU'RE GOING TO USE A THICK HEADBAND TO ACCENT YOUR WIG, LACE  OR NATURAL HAIR PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR AND MAKE SURE  THE "HAIR" IS ON POINT. IF YOUR HAIR LOOKS RATCHET OR YOUR WIG LOOKS LIKE YOU JUST TOOK IT OUT THE WASHING MACHINE THEN WORK ON THAT SITUATION FIRST BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY OF MY SUGGESTIONS.

It is my hope that these few pieces of fashion insight help you the next time you: put together, plan or purchase any type of outfit an accessory.

B-e-l-i-e-v-e In B.

Hello My B's....
What do you believe in ?  Finding a lucky penny, wearing a pair of unwashed undergarments while watching your fav team play.. the Easter Bunny?  Wanna know what I believe in??? I believe in YOU! I Believe you are masters of your fashion destiny. So, go forth, don't be scared about trying something new! Always remember, have faith in fashion and keep my e-mail close by (in case you really can't get it together)!! In todays episode: Statement Stockings.

Statement Stockings

A good pair of sexy stockings is an essential part of any womens wardrobe. Yes my luvs! the right pair of stockings can make your legs look fabulous! Statement stockings like the ones I have posted below are even being worn in the daytime. Can you believe that in the old west, showing your ankle was frowned upon!!! Even today, some religions frown upon women showing leg.Thats just awful! Well, if you're like me and don't care about the Wild West and like showing off your stems, the stocking below are made for you! FYI: Yes, you can pull off statement stockings during the daytime. No, you do not have to stand on the street corner to werk them out. Remember, fashion is meant to have fun with, especially with a piece like this. Be fun, flirty, but above all respect yourself and others in the process!!! Also, unless cleared by your Human Resource person at your job ( which I can guarantee will not fly) Do not wear a sheer, statement stocking to your job. Not even on casual Friday! You'll fuck it up for everybody.

What does a $15k wedding cake taste like?!?

Hello My B's,
How have you been my luvs? I've been fabulous! Do any of you watch the I Dream of NeNe? Gurrl! The show is real super cute! Like Nene, I also have an aunt named Nena. I may have to do an ancestry.com to see if we are related. Anyhow, for her wedding she ordered a $15k wedding cake from NY that's being flown in on first class. She bettah werk hunnie!  Publix cakes are real cute and taste good too. If I was at her party, I would save my slice of cake and try to pawn it.I'm kinda mad I didn't get an electronic invitation to her wedding. What I'm even more mad for, but in a good way is anything plaid. Plaid shoes and shirts for both men and women are back in style. In this episode I show you why I'm "Mad 4 Plaid".

MAD 4 PLAID

Anyone remember the show Blossom? If not please Google.  Now that you're back.Even before I ever saw a well built, crew cut, lesbian loading her truck up with stacks of  2x4's from the Home Depot. The show Blossom opened my eyes to this fabric called plaid. Specifically it was Joey "whoa", one of Blossoms brothers who had a grunge kinda vibe. Joey lived to wear his ripped jeans, oversized t-shirt and of course the plaid long sleeve shirt that was always tied around his waist. Now, plaid is back! In the examples I have below I paired a plaid dress 3 different ways. One look is day, the other evening and an optional daytime work or evening look. In the evening look, the half top black jacket is optional. This is all dependant on the weather or your comfort level. You can also substitute this for a tight fitting black vest. The whole idea is to create a more dramatic look. Also remember to find a half jacket thats made of lightweight  material. Preferably faux leather. You are going to wear this jacket open unzipped, with the sleeves scrunched mid arm.  The Third look, the belted dress, is more of an evening look. You can also turn this look out  and make it a "work" day look. I used my fav color for accessories "gold". Gold just complements red plaid  much better than silver.
