Happy Friday My Luvs!

Happy Friday my luvs! Thank you for reading my very first blog!! Each and every Friday  I'll not only bring you my picks on the hottest and most affordable trends in  fashionable accessories, but also give you cute ideas on what to wear with them.
Before we get started, I know a lot of you may have some questions. Mainly, "how does he know whats  looks cute?" and  "why should I take his advice?"  let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I'm the friend, brother, sistah, son, uncle and neighbor that everyone  asks: " I'm going out tonight, what should I wear?" or "does this all look good together?" and  "what do you think about this outfit?"  I'm also the friend, brother, sistah, son, uncle and neighbor that is brutally honest and if asked will let you know if you look a hot jankey mess! Even as a baby, I knew I had a flair for the fabulous. I didn't want to be in the same incubator as all the other newborns. I wanted mine to be jazzier. My mom also played a big role in broadening my love for fashion. For many years she worked as a seamstress for a clothing company called Van Heusen. That was back in the day when they didn't have electric sewing machines. Everything had to be sewn by hand. Fast forward to present day where every day in my own styling business I use my well groomed keen eye to find you fabulously affordable accessories. So, to answer the questions:  "how does he know whats  looks cute?" and  "why should I take his advice?" The best way I can tell you is like this: I may not have a degree from F.I.T, but when it comes to style and accessories... I know what's the tea!

 Aww hell! This Ain't Chanel!!

I always find myself singing this song. Especially if I'm watching any of the Housewives shows. " It's alright, it's okay, I'm gonna wear Chanel one day!"  Well for me that day ain't today. Luckily, I have the solution.I hand picked one Chanel inspired pearl necklace that I've seen many celebs wear. Remember this NOT a Chanel necklace or a fake replica. FYI, this style is more for a daytime early evening look. Don't  try to be cute and wear pearls to the club!

Leave the pearls out of  the club!

Gold ain't cold Hunn-ie!

I live for gold accessories! To me gold is such a rich color that accents and enhances any look. The first trend I've noticed this season is thick  bold, chunky gold/silver  necklaces and bracelets. I call it "throwback" jewelry.  Think big bold choker style name plate necklaces.  A fabulous way to feature this style necklace is with a black pair of  pleather leggings  a fitted white v-neck t-shirt and a sickening pair of heels or wedges. Another idea would be any bustier any color, black pleather leggings and sickening heels or wedges. Be very careful! When you wear bold, big piece of gold/silver jewelry try to make that one piece the focal point of your entire outfit.  Do not wear a big bold necklace with big bold earrings, rings, bracelets and to top it off an oversized watch!  NO MAAM!  YOU WILL LOOK SUPER JANKY AND THAT'S NOT CUTE! Also, please please please do not feature a big necklace like the one pictured, with the following: An evening gown of any kind, cocktail dresses or work out clothes to walk around in (yes gurl , I've seen it happen and it's just awful!)
The next trend is for my gurrls that are not into big bold necklaces  or  don't want to relive their L.L Cool J days. It's more of a sleeker look and style. If you want to slay people with this necklace my suggestion would be to find your inner Rihanna and try this evening look. Find a black pleather/leather pencil skirt or  a pleather puff skirt.  All the celebs and even the non celebs are featuring leather/pleather puff skirts. Pair it with a bustier or any solid color tight fitting crop top or half top and of course a 7' + inch heel.

A high waisted pleather legging also works!

Theres a reason why a set like this comes with
small earrings!!! If you don't like them
wear studs instead
.

They're not gonna be ready for you in this!!!

No Pain, No Gain, Get a body chain!

Body chains are not only being worn on the beach or poolside. There  being paired with simple garments to give some life to a dull outfit or just to be a little extra fabulous. One thing I luv is being a little extra fabulous, but in order to leave people gagging you got to wear the body chain the right way. Please DO NOT  wear a body chain with a necklace and/or earrings! Gold/silver studs are ok. Keep your arm candy light too. I would just wear a watch that matches the tone of the body chain and one bracelet. You can wear a body chain with all the looks I suggested today except the detailed blue dress.

It is my hope these few pieces of fashion insight help you in the next time you: put together, plan or purchase any type of accessory. Please email me @ riichb@gmail.com  if you would like to purchase any of the accessories (clothing included) I've talked about today. Also, if you have any  styling questions, comments or concerns you can email me as well. The next time you're getting ready to go out... remember to go BIG! or go home and not photographed. Until next Friday my luvs! xxoxoxo
